These peanuts were spicy and flavorful. They were the freshest tasting peanuts I've bought in a can. I would highly recommend trying them, and I'm excited to look if this brand has any other flavors to try!1st off, the freshness, snap, and CRUNCH of these peanuts is top notch! What I have a problem with, is the flavor consistency from batch to batch. I had my 1st few orders that were barely seasoned, but I just figured that was the normal profile. Then, I rec'd 5 tins in a row that were completely overseasoned, to the point the peanuts were orange, same as the orange on the label of the can. And they were incredible! A few handfulls would burn the lips off your face, and I thought "FINALLY! A consumer product with some HEAT!!" I hoped that this was the normal flavor profile, and what I rec'd before was simply a mediocre fluke.Well, I just cracked open a new tin, out of an order of 5, and it looks like someone blanched the peanuts before packaging. Still fresh and crunchy, but no flavor and no heat whatsoever. Done with this product for now, until I can see an improvement in quality control, and make a determination as to the intensity of the seasoning.Ordered these for my fiancée on Father’s Day. He ate them all in two sittings, that says so much about this product! He isn’t a real big snack person, but he loved these! He says d great flavor , not stale and not old. I rate this buy and seller 10/10! Thank you so much for selling a fresh and tasty product.Just the right amount of heat. It can creep up on you. I have a high tolerance for hot food, but people with a low tolerance for spicy food, I recommend only eating a couple at a time, not handfuls! Like hot or not, you will love these peanuts!I was expecting The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg Hot Habanero Chile Pepper Nuts to be the same sized large peanuts as The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg peanuts which are lightly salted or unsalted which I purchase in the larger cans. They are not. A few are, but a majority in the can are smaller, even rounder in shape. I've looked at photos on this website of the nuts received by others and have to say that mine are well coated with the hot habanero pepper powder, so they are truly hot, just like the habanero pepper. Fortunately, I had already eaten a meal, so my innards should not suffer too much, and I take this as a forewarning that they are best consumed with something to help coat the digestive tract. I'm thinking of using some from this can to make a peanut pie as I think the spices would greatly improve a pie that tends to be very sweet. This is not a can of peanuts that I will share with the kids because their palates simply won't be able to handle the heat which compliments yet sometimes overwhelms the flavor of the roasted peanuts. They are not oily. I just purchased the three can package of The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg Hot Nuts which includes a can of this variety with one each of two other types. I store opened cans of peanuts in the refrigerator to maintain their freshness.These are wonderful. They have just enough bit to make you want to eat them continuously. They are not real salty. Some brands are marketed as spicy and they are extremely salty with a little spicy. These are spicy with a little salt. Will definitely purchase again.I'm not sure if they reduced the flavor or the spices multiple people in my fam noticed it. They are still good but for $8 kinda pricey.I can't have these around the house, they barely last a week. So delicious and addictive. Not crazy spicy, just the right flavor to heat level.
